New Player Improvements: 3/31

Last night, we made some updates to the AOL Radio web player to help improve the experience.

Many of you have complained about the volume of the video ads that occasionally appear. You are now able to control the volume of the video ads by adjusting the volume or muting the ad all together.

Additionally, we've improved the volume slider on the player so that it's not so buggy.

As always, continue sending us your feedback and suggestions for the player.

AOL Members: New Player to Help with Issues

Over the past several weeks, some AOL subscribers have written us either via e-mail or through the feedback link alerting us that they were not able to listen to any stations because the player would result in a "This station is temporarily not available" message when you chose an AOL station to listen to.

We are happy to report that a new version of the player was released last night that should help with this problem.

If you are still experiencing this issue, you may need to clear your cache in order to get your computer to load the new player.

Follow these steps if you do not know how to do this:

To Clear Your Cache:

AOL Users:

1) Go to the Settings button in the toolbar inside AOL
2) Select "Internet Web Options
3) Select "Select Footprints to Clear"
4) Next to "Browser Cache" hit the Clear button
5) Exit out of AOL, sign into AOL again and try loading the player

Internet Explorer/Firefox Users:

1) Go to your Control Panel in your Windows Start Menu
2) Within your Control Panel, either go to "Internet Options" OR "Network and Internet Connections" and then "Internet Options" (depending on how your Start Menu is configured)
3) Within the "Browsing History" section on the first tab, click the "Delete" button
4) Under "Temporary Internet Files" click on the "Delete Files" tab
5) Wait for it to finish and then try loading the AOL Radio player again

If you are still having issues, please e-mail me at: TCinRadioNYC@aol.com.

Thank you for your patience and we hope you continue listening.
