Katy Perry, 'Part of Me' -- New Song

Katy Perry isn't slowing down: After releasing seven singles from her 2010 album 'Teenage Dream,' Perry has released a new single titled 'Part of Me' that will be a part of 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection,' a rerelease of the album set for a 2012 debut.

'Part of Me' was co-written by Perry, Dr. Luke, Bonnie Mckee and Max Martin. Perry first performed the song during the 54th Grammy Awards after the track was leaked online in December 2010. Early versions of the song suggested that the song was aimed towards her ex-boyfriend Travis McCoy but later reworked the song to address her divorce with actor Russell Brand.

A mixture of pop, dance and rock, the track is a post-breakup anthem with empowerment lyrics such as "I was poison in your mouth / You took my light, you drained me down / But that was then and this is now, now look at me." The line "Keep your diamond ring" was added to the official release, suggesting that Perry intended to aim the song at her public breakup with Brand.

'Part of Me' is now available on iTunes and fans can hear it on AOL Radio's Fresh 40 station..
