Flo Rida has released his new single 'Tell Me When You Ready.' The song features rapper Future and is the lead single from Flo Rida's upcoming fifth studio album.

Flo Rida is no stranger to hit singles and his latest song will likely get fans pumped for his new record. His latest jam is a radio-friendly upbeat track that should be a good summer club-hit. Following a softer start, the song takes on club-banger status with its pulsating, hip-hop beats. Flo Rida's trademark fast vocals work well here on the cheery beat, as he drops plenty of party rhymes. He raps, "In the club all I see is sparklers like birthday candles, ten models on a regular night." Jennifer Lopez has once again teamed up with Pitbull for her upcoming eight studio album. 'Live It Up' is the third time these two have collaborated, following 'On the Floor' and Dance Again.' RedOne, who also produced those tracks, took on the same role again for this summer jam.

Like those two hits, these three artists have produced a song that is ready right now to become a dance-fueled summer anthem. Pitbull familiarly introduces the song over pulsating, powerful synth-beats by RedOne. The dance-pop tune will be perfect for the clubs, especially in the infectious and joyful chorus. Lopez is fierce in this track and entertainingly shares many inspirational lyrics in support of her message to 'live it up.' Yet, the song's main, repetitive hook will probably stand out this summer as a voice says, "Make love, don't fight. Let's f**k tonight." That is followed by a noisy, dub-step-like breakdown. 'Live It Up' may be the most successful song of the three that Lopez, Pitbull, and RedOne have produced together. Jason Derulo has released the first single from his upcoming third studio album. 'The Other Side' was reportedly written about his girlfriend Jordin Sparks.

The 23-year-old pop star is well known for hits such as 'Whatcha Say' and 'Ridin Solo.' Like those songs, 'The Other Side' is upbeat and includes memorable, sing-along hooks. The song also has a dance and club vibe to it, helped out by the production of Ammo. Although the song can be adapted as a party song, 'The Other Side' was very personal to Derulo who was feeling thankful after a near-death experience. He told MTV, "I feel like I'm a different person. I'm a little more grown-up, and my music will always match that. So it's a Jason Derulo that is a little more sleek, a little more refined." The track received its joyful and energetic feel from the experience and was also inspired by Sparks. The lyrics specifically discuss a friendship that turns into a relationship, which resembles Derulo's and Sparks' real-life relationship. Derulo sings, "This could be perfect, but we won't know unless we try. I know you're nervous, so just sit back and let me drive."

Alicia Keys has released the fifth single off her hit record 'Girl On Fire.' The single 'Tears Always Win' was co-written by Jeff Bhasker and Bruno Mars. Mars also played bass, guitars and provided background vocals on the track.

'Tears Always Win' may be Keys' strongest single since the album's title song. Like 'Girl on Fire,' this ballad is anthemic and dares the listener to rally behind Keys' strong and inspiring voice. Bruno Mars' influence is clear, as the song builds around soft drum and piano beats, and soaring, wind-like sound effects. The tune sounds like it could be a sequel to Mars' 'It Will Rain.' The song's climax is seen in the chorus, where Keys' is helped by background singers, including Mars, as she sings "Once again these tears always win."

Summer tends to bring feelings of nostalgia and this June should be no different, as many artists are releasing albums after a lengthy amount of time off. One of the most exciting releases is the reunion album from Black Sabbath, '13.' It's the band's first album since 1995 and it's the first time in 35 years that Ozzy Osbourne is the lead singer on a Black Sabbath record. The classic heavy metal rockers released 'God Is Dead?' as their first single this past April. Meanwhile, alternative rockers Jimmy Eat World have released 'Damage,' their first record since 2010 and their first release under RCA. Their first single 'I Will Steal You Back' has already begun making its way up the alternative charts.

June should be a great month for some R&B nostalgia as well. Ashanti is scheduled to release her first album since 2008. 'Braveheart' features many collaborations, most notably the album's first single 'The Woman You Love' with Busta Rhymes. R. Kelly, Keyshia Cole, and Meek Mill are just a few of the big names to also contribute to the anticipated album. Additionally, Kelly Rowland will release 'Talk a Good Game' on June 17th. It's Rowland's fourth solo album and includes an impressive list of producers and collaborators. The album's first single 'Ice' features Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa joins Rowland on the song 'Gone.'

It's been a long time since 'MMMBop' but Hanson's still releasing new music. 'Anthem' will be released June 18th and is the band's ninth studio album. Joining them this month, is current boy-band and teenage sensations Big Time Rush. The band's third studio album is titled '24/Seven' and features the promotional single 'Like Nobody's Around.' The band became heavily involved in the songwriting process for this album, writing dozens of songs that were considered.

Justin Timberlake is back all right. 'Mirrors,' a mid-tempo love ballad, takes the top spot in the month of May. The song is undoubtedly the stand-out track on Timberlake's new studio album 'The 20/20 Experience.' Looking over his shoulder is Demi Lovato who dropped from the top spot to #3 with 'Heart Attack.' Macklemore has proven 'Thrift Shop' wasn't a fluke as the rap star has found his way to #2 with 'Can't Hold Us,' which features Ray Dalton. The song was also the biggest jump this month, advancing 13 spots.

15 songs, making up more than a third of the countdown, were premiers this month. The highest debut came from Anna Kendrick. Her single 'Cups' was featured in the film 'Pitch Perfect and premiers here at #8. Right below her is Selena Gomez, who has also been on the big screen lately, starring in 'Spring Breakers.' Her feel-good track 'Come and Get It' has hints of reggae and euro-dance and shows the young star's rapid maturation.

Avril Lavigne made a return to the top 40 for the first time since 2011 with her hit 'Here's to Never Growing Up.' The song, which debuts at #14, is her first appearance since 'What The Hell' hit the top ten in 2011.


Just entering the countdown are some recently-released collaborations. Daft Punk enters at #39 with 'Get Lucky,' a funky track that features smooth vocals from Pharrell Williams. Right behind those two, is Ke$ha, who teamed up with will.i.am. for her latest single 'Crazy Kids.' You'll have to tune into June's list to see how far these songs can climb up the charts.

Austalian recording artist Cody Simpson has released his latest single 'Pretty Brown Eyes.' It's his first official single to follow his first debut album 'Paradise.'

Cody Simpson became known for his YouTube covers and later for several of his own singles including 'iYiYi' which featured Flo Rida. His music has been featured on Radio Disney and he has also acted on Nickelodeon. 'Pretty Brown Eyes' is a fun summer song that will most likely be released on Simpson's upcoming studio album, which he has begun working on. The simple track is purely pop and shows off Simpson's high vocal range. The single is very Bieber-like and features some auto-tune and other production elements. Simpson told Examiner that due to the song's simple, fun feel, "it was the perfect song to put out."

Cody Simpson has been opening for Justin Bieber's headlining tour in Europe. After that wraps up, Simpson will kick off his own tour and continue working on his new album. French house music duo Daft Punk has released 'Get Lucky' as the lead single from their fourth studio album 'Random Access Memories.' The song was co-written by and features Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.

Daft Punk is well known for huge arena hits like 'One More Time' and 'Around The World.' This new single is mellower and has a funk and disco-like sound to it, in addition to bordering on R&B. It certainly reflects a transition from the pulsating electronics of the band's last record to more futuristic type of dance and disco. In fact, the duo hasn't released a studio album since 2005, so they've had plenty of time to experiment and collaborate. The distinct guitar riff from Nile Rodgers carries the song along and sets the song's relaxing, funky tone. Pharrell Williams' smooth vocals work well with the guitar riff and provide for an infectious chorus. The single has the unique ability to sound like it could transcend time and be a hit at a 1970s dance club or at a rave ten years from now. Pharrell has stated that the lyrics are more about finding chemistry with someone, rather than looking for a sexual conquest.

'Get Lucky' broke Spotify's record, receiving the highest number of streams in a single day. 'Random Access Memories' is expected to be released May 21st in the United States. May brings music fans new releases from today's favorites and even provides some nostalgia. As the weather heats up, fans can expect a new album from 98 Degrees. It's the boy band's first studio album since 2000, as the boy-band revival continues. They had already been touring with New Kids on the Block and Boys II Men. If their first single 'Microphone' is any indication, the band has definitely grown up in their more than decade-long hiatus. Current pop favorite, 20-year-old Demi Lovato is getting set to release her fourth studio album 'Demi.' The album includes the number one single 'Heart Attack' and a duet with Cher Lloyd. Lovato's first three albums all reached the top five of the Billboard 200.

It's not quite summer, but there's plenty of time for easy listening. Country stars Lady Antebellum will release their fourth studio album on May 7th. Their last album 'Own the Night' topped the Billboard charts in 2011. This album may feature a little different sound for the band, as their new single 'Downtown' includes a faster tempo and fun, flirtatious lyrics. Additionally, The Goo Goo Dolls will release their tenth studio album on the same day. 'Magnetic' is the band's first record since 2010 and contains the lead single and opening track 'Rebel Beat.'

Indie fans will get to hear the heavily-anticipated third album from Vampire Weekend on May 14th. 'Modern Vampires of the City' is supposed to include a darker, yet warmer sound than their previous two albums. New York City and America in general has been mentioned as an influence on the album. The band released a double single 'Diane Young/Step' which features impressive sound effects and a typical, up-beat sound. Also, keep an eye out for the second record from Fitz and The Tantrums. 'More Than Just a Dream' is their first album in three years and is the opening line in the album's title song and lead single 'Out of My League.' The album was produced by Tony Hoffer who has worked with M83, Depeche Mode, and Phoenix, among others.

X-Factor finalists Emblem 3 has released their debut single called 'Chloe (You're the One I Want)' The pop band recently signed a record deal with Syco Music and Columbia Records.

Emblem3 (also stylized as Emblem Three or E3) is a three-member band of two brothers and their best friend, all aged from 16 to 19 years old. They finished fourth overall in season two of 'The X-Factor' and were known for performing many pop artists such as the Goo Goo Dolls, and the Temptations. 'Chloe' is a catchy pop tune that will be a great summer radio track and is reminiscent of Hot-Chelle-Rae. The three members sing about their admiration for 'Chloe,' despite everyone's apparent love for her sister. The song is well-mixed for pop success and features a sing-along chorus and bridge. "They don't show you love enough. You should know that you're my diamond in the rough."

From the unusual collaboration department comes 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,' a song featuring Snoop Lion and Miley Cyrus off Lion's upcoming album 'Reincarnated.' The odd combination was produced by Major Lazer.

Snoop Lion is making the transition to reggae in his new album and here he sings over a tight, piano-filled groove. The catchy hook repeats throughout the times and the song has a top-40 feel in the chorus. The track sounds like a spring/summer anthem, as Snoop Lion talks about life's problems and ways to lift yourself up, not surprisingly through ashtrays. Cryus echoes the sentiment and the two join vocals at some points, although Cryus' voice stands out in the hook. Despite hardships discussed in the song, the two sing of coming together. "Can't let them see me weak, I need to find something. Is there any possibility that everyone feels like me?"

'Reincarnated' is expected to be released in April and will feature appearances by Drake, Chris Brown, and Busta Rhymes, among others. Psy is going viral again. His newest song 'Gentleman' is a follow-up to the international hit 'Gangnam Style' which has been seen more than 1.5 billion times on YouTube.

The song is another electro-pop tune and features a dance that originates from girl group Brown Eyed Girls' 2009 hit 'Abracadabra.' Although it's unlikely 'Gentleman' or any song will ever match the popularity of 'Gangnam Style,' 'Gentleman' has already been viewed over 94 million times on YouTube. It remains to be seen whether the song itself will just ride the coattails of 'Gangnam Style' or if Psy can avoid being a one-hit wonder. The song includes pulsating beats and a repetitive, catchy chorus which includes the lyric "I'm a mother, father, gentleman." The phrase can be interpreted differently, based on Psy's accent. The lyrics and beat is certain to stay in the listener's head, meaning Psy has reached his goal of remaining relevant-for now.

Ray J has released a song filled with some controversy called 'I Hit It First.' The cover of the album appears to be a pixelated photo of his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian, who 's fame took off when she was involved in a sex tape with the R&B star in 2003.

Ray J has stated the R&B tune is not about Kardashian and recently tweeted that the song is "not that serious." Yet, the song's lyrics seemingly directly reference her current boyfriend Kanye West, who wasn't pleased with the song's release. The song also likely references other "rappers and ballplayers" she has dated, while Ray J brags about being with her first. It's an upbeat, catchy track by Ray J, who isn't afraid to speak his mind on this subject, especially in the tongue-in-cheek first verse. Bobby Brackins adds in a hip-hop-like verse, which is a little raspier than Ray J's, but works well with the basic beats in the background.

The year is flying by and luckily great music continues to be released! April sees its share of remixed and career shifts. Whatever your favorite genre may be, April is yet another great month of new singles.

One of the most interesting singles was released by Chris Brown. His R&B hit 'Fine China' is softer than his previous work and shows his maturation as an artist. The song channels Michael Jackson and has a feel-good, nostalgic feel to it. Fans should anticipate some new and innovative music when he releases his sixth album 'X' sometime this summer. Meanwhile, Nelly has thrown himself into country music for the second time in his career. He joined Florida Georgia Line for a re-mix of their number one country hit 'Cruise.' Nelly adds a hip-hop beat to the summer track and re-sparks the song that should be a favorite on radio stations in the coming months.

The Jonas Brothers are back and are getting set to release their first studio album since 2009. Their first single is an energetic one, begging high schools to play it at their half-time football games. 'Pom Poms' is full of energy, sing-alongs, and stomping beats. It should appeal to all ages, as should Anna Kendrick's new single 'Cups.' The single is a minute longer than the original version released for the movie 'Pitch Perfect.' It's infectious and builds off unique percussion beats throughout. Expect this to find its way onto its fair share of top 40 charts and airplay.

Keep your ears open for Selena Gomez, who is getting set to release her first solo album, after many years with Disney and her band The Scene. 'Come & Get It' is sure to be an instant top-40 hit and proves the 20-year-old is rapidly maturing.

Country star Carrie Underwood has released her fourth single off her successful album 'Blown Away.' 'See You Again' was co-written by Underwood along with songwriters Hillary Lindsey and David Hodges.

'See You Again' is about moving on after death and one day reuniting with a loved one in the afterlife. The ballad slowly builds from an opening piano solo to powerful backing vocals and strong instrumentation. Underwood's confident vocals stand out on the mid-tempo track, which is definitely one of her most meaningful songs on 'Blown Away.' It's quite a contrast from darker songs like 'Two Black Cadillacs' and will undoubtedly serve as inspiration for anyone who has lost someone close in their life. Underwood's message is equally powerful and comforting throughout. "But I won't cry, cause I know I'll never be lonely. For you are the stars to me, you are the light I follow."

'Blown Away' topped the Billboard 200 and has produced three top five country singles thus far. Underwood is currently on tour in support of the album and recently performed 'See You Again' for the first time on American Idol. Avril Lavigne is getting set to release her currently untitled fifth studio album. In support of that, Lavigne has released her lead single 'Here's to Never Growing Up.' The song was co-written by Lavigne, her fiancée, Chad Kroeger, and others. It was also produced by Martin Johnson of Boys Like Girls.

The single is acoustic-driven and is an anthem for her and her fans. The song is a pretty standard pop rock track, with a little bit of Ke$ha-like declarations. The song is reminiscent of 'Complicated' which is ironic since the song thanks her listeners for sticking with her and references her and her fans' youth. The melody doesn't quite pack as strong of a punch as 'Complicated' however, and certainly doesn't have the same cross-over appeal. Still, the song is infectious with a sing-along chorus and upbeat, rallying lyrics done in a similar style to Nickelback's 'Rockstar.' Her voice is as unique as it ever has been and her youthfulness will still draw her music to plenty of her fans. Her trademark "oh woahs" are heavily seen here as she sings about being free. "We live like rock stars, dance in every bar. This is who we are, I don't think we'll ever change."

Lavigne's fifth album is supposed to be released sometime later this year. It is expected to be the opposite of her 2011 album 'Goodbye Lullaby.' For now, fans can feel nostalgic and listen to 'Here's to Never Growing Up' on AOL Radio's New Pop First.

Selena Gomez has released her first single from her upcoming debut solo album. 'Come and Get It' was produced by StarGate and differs a lot from her previous work.

Gomez is growing up quickly and releasing her first solo album after having three successful albums with the band The Scene and releasing several Disney records. StarGate does a great job here creating what should be an instant Top 40 hit, which includes elements of music from India. The mid-tempo track is another example of Gomez' expanding her musical diversity and her maturity. It's a feel-good tune with hints of reggae and euro-dance as she moves further away from typical pop music. The song is infectious with unique beats and stuttered chants. Gomez' voice has never been smoother, as she carries the hook-filled song along its relaxing journey. There's definitely a sexier sound from Gomez here as she sings "This love ain't finished yet / so baby whenever you're ready...come and get it."

Selena Gomez has certainly been busy of late and recently starred in the film 'Spring Breakers.' Her album is scheduled to be released in Summer 2013 and will be promoted through a world tour. Come and listen to Gomez' new single right now on AOL Radio's Fresh 40 station.
