Honda's new commercial advertising the 2010 Accord is simple. A row displaying eight generations of Honda Accords scroll by as doors, headlights, and windshield wipers open, turn on and move, respectively, to the pop-y piano-driven 'Inside Still Beats' by the newly emerged artist Ellem.
With a lyrical style in the vein of Lily Allen and Ingrid Michaelson, Ellem's jazzy 'Inside Still Beats' is the title track off her Feb.18th-released album of the same name, that fuses her British pop sensibilities with her Los Angeles lifestyle. Ellem's music can be sampled on MySpace and the album is available via iTunes and cdbaby. Check out the commercial below to hear her title track!

(Page 1)2. I find this sugary-sweet tune so grating, that I looked it up online.

1. This is a perfect example of how great music can be used to sell things. Most companies use trash or deafening percussion to get us to buy things or listen to weather, etc. The result is that it gets turned off. The station gets switched. This one, one of the Crest commercials, one of the McDonald's commercials and some others are outstanding. The result is that people will buy these products. Drums pounded into us will not make us buy things. They will make us turn the station.
