2011 Ford Mustang Commercial -- What's the Song?

Ford's recent commercial for the 2011 Mustang features British indie-rockers Band of Skulls performing the song 'Light of the Morning,' from their 2009 album 'Baby Darling Doll Face Honey.'

Lead singer Russell Marsden drawls "I wanna see you in the morning, I wanna see you when the breaking day is dawning" as the bluesy, dynamic song lurches to life and the new Mustang is shown cruising through various early-morning empty city scenes -- both car and band picking up steam as the "you gotta go, you gotta go" refrain kicks in.

Band of Skulls formed in London in 2008, and they are currently touring all across Europe in support of their debut album 'Baby Darling Doll Face Honey.' You can check out the commercial below, and listen to 'Light of the Morning' and other great songs on AOL Radio's Indie Rock Mix station.

8. This is a great song, it sounds like one of the old blues bands from the 60's.. wonderful. Its good to see that bands are still making good music with all the garbage that is out now a days

10. Band of Skulls: I want to keep an eye on this group. Their song "Light of the morning"blew me away. I couldn't get this song out of my head. It kept bringing me back to a time when my Dad would make our lunch peanut butter jelly and a side of jazz. The song was haunting me. The music is so strong. And it came to me "I want you so bad"(She's so heavy)These songs are ageless.Keep it coming kids.

11. I remember thinking, the first time I saw the ad, that the song was "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" for the longest time.
