Chris Young's single, 'Voices,' celebrates the words of wisdom we all welcome from friends and family, and echoes the support Young continues to receive -- even after he won 'Nashville Star' in 2006: "I've been blessed to have not only great family members, but also a large, extended group of friends who've encouraged me along the way, both personally and professionally," he says.
Off Young's sophomore album 'The Man I Want to Be,' the single follows 'Gettin' You Home (The Black Dress Song)' and the album's title track -- both earning the budding singer-songwriter two consecutive No. 1 hits.
The song was originally released in 2008, but didn't earn the same success as his other two singles. "We've had a lot of people tell us 'that song got lost in the shuffle' or 'we missed that song,'" Chris tells the Boot. "People from radio have wanted us to put that song back out, and there are a lot of people that have no idea we put this song out before."
Young will be touring this summer with Kellie Pickler and Rascal Flatts. To hear 'Voices,' tune into AOL Radio's New Country First station.
