'Say You'll Haunt Me' is the first official single and the second song released from Stone Sour's forthcoming album 'Audio Secrecy,' which is due out in August. The band previously released the song 'Mission Statement' from the album via their website.
The song unexpectedly kicks off with chiming, clean guitar notes more reminiscent of The Cure than Slipknot, Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor's other band. A steady backbeat and distorted guitars bring out Taylor's trademark growl from time to time, however keeping it melodic for the soaring chorus: 'Say you'll never die / You'll always haunt me / I want to know / I belong to you / Say you'll haunt me."
Taylor promises a more diverse, accomplished and powerful sound from Stone Sour on the forthcoming album: "The dimensions go further than anything we've ever tried before. It's metal, rock, slow, soft, hard, fast, bitter, beautiful and most importantly, it's real."
Stone Sour will embark on a nationwide tour in support of 'Audio Secrecy' in August. You can check out 'Say You'll Haunt Me' 'AOL Radio's New Rock First station.
