David Archuleta, 'Elevator' -- New Song

American Idol runner-up David Archuleta, graces us with 'Elevator,' yet another hot single from his upcoming album, 'The Other Side of Down,' out Oct. 5.

Driven by an acoustic-laden guitar melody and catchy percussion, Archuleta sings of pursuing one's dreams and accepting the journey -- not always knowing the outcome: "It's an endless ride / Sometimes it takes you up / Sometimes it tears you down inside / But it's the butterflies / That keep you feeling so alive, so alive."

The uptempo track was co-penned by Shelly Peiken, Archuleta, and his guitarist Mike Krompass. To hear 'Elevator,' which follows Archuleta's lead-off single, 'Something 'Bout Love,' head over to AOL Radio's New Pop First station.

12. I LOVE Elevator! Well, I think I love Elevator. I love the acoustic version and the other studio version we heard. I can't for the life of me get Elevator to come up in the stream though. I let it play and play and skip as many as I can. I've heard songs multiple times but no Elevator.

13. I love the songs off David Archuleta's new album. Fell in love with "Something Bout Love" and really like "Elevator" -- the music just seems to fit David...and of course "that awesome/amazing voice"! I can't wait for the album to be released Oct. 5!

16. I really like the sound of "The Other Side of Down" I think it may be one of my favorites and it sounds like a hit, from what I got to hear. I also really love "It's Gonna Get Better," and "Elevator." So I am really ready for the album to arrive at my door. And when will we get to see David in concert? I am so happy he is getting all of the opportunities to appear, especially with some of his favorite artists, Natasha and Shontelle. But please come back to the west coast and do some concerts, PLEASE!!!!
