Five Finger Death Punch's 'Far From Home' is the sixth single off their critically-recognized, and politically-driven 2009 album, 'War Is the Answer.'
As the song begins with melodic, acoustic guitar, Ivan Moody's baritone vocals chime in -- paired nicely with string accompaniment -- as he stresses his frustration on losing sight of what's important:
"A million stories that made up a million shattered dreams / The faces of people I'll never see again / And I can't seem to find my way home." Once it breaks into a full-fledged rock song, the chorus is separated by the bridge's emotional electric guitar solo.
'War Is the Answer' was helmed by producer Kevin Churko (who produced Ozzy Osbourne's 'Black Rain') and mixed by Randy Staub (worked with Metallica and Stone Sour). 'Far From Home' follows the group's cover of Bad Company's 1974 self-titled track and their morally-driven, 'No One Gets Left Behind.'
