Newsboys, 'Christmas! A Newsboys Holiday' -- New Album

Christian pop rockers Newsboys dropped 'Christmas! A Newsboys Holiday' on Oct. 12 -- a new album and their first holiday project, which follows their summer album release, 'Born Again.'

Produced by Dustin Burnett, lead singer Michael Tait, and Juan Otero of The Write Bros, the album features six holiday renditions, such as the 1934 pop standard 'Winter Wonderland' and the carol favorite 'O Holy Night.' More modern holiday classics make way into the album as well, such as Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' and the guitar riff and lick-driven 'Jingle Bell Rock.'

But don't exclude 'The Christmas Song,' which sees the rock outfit tackle a big band favorite -- the Nat King Cole, piano-driven 'The Christmas Song,' including string accompaniment and touches of a cappella vibrato.

Newsboys will joining NewSong the last weekend of November for a 20-plus city, nationwide tour. Titled, the Very Merry Christmas Tour 2010, the tour runs through Dec. 20.
