Darius Rucker has released a brand new song called 'This,' which can be found on his third solo album, 'Charleston, SC 1966.' The record marks the former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman's second country LP.
After two years, some may still be skeptical of Rucker's genre jump, but if his No. 1 country single 'Don't Think I Don't Think About It' hasn't convinced hardcore Hootie fans, then 'This' just may do the trick. He sings, ever-so-appropriately:
"I don't really know how I got here / But I'm so glad that I did / And it's crazy to think that one little thing / Could have changed all of this / Maybe it didn't turn out like I planned / Maybe thats why I'm such, such a lucky man."
Take that, naysayers. The new track follows the release of the South Carolina native's first single, 'Come Back Song,' which is equally as endearing.
