Initially, Kingston and his girl can't seem to agree on how to keep in touch. "All of this texting is getting kinda crazy," Kingston sings. "Girl, don't be mad if I ain't hollered at you lately."
Hip-hop singer Teairra Mari finds the solution by suggesting the couple connect via BBM. She sings the hook, "Cause I've been hittin' up your phone all day, but I found a way to communicate."
The singers' voices are significantly altered by Auto-Tune, which seems appropriate given the song's pro-technology stance. Soulja Boy adds to the discussion with a risque verse in which he raps, "Then she had text me / L-O-L, smiley face, we did it by the fireplace."
Kingston could hardly contain his excitement for the new song on his Twitter page, where he tweeted, "IF U GOT A BLACKBERRY..... STAND UP RITE NOW!!... THIS IS YO ANTHEM SMASSH IT."
'BBM' appears on Kingston's new mixtape, 'King of Kingz,' and could appear on his untitled third album, which he has been busy recording throughout 2010. Earlier this year Kingston scored a big hit with 'Eenie Meenie,' his pop duet with young superstar Justin Bieber.
