New Music Releases -- October 2012


Many new albums are set to be released in October. The month features one of the most anticipated rock albums of the year, 'The 2nd Law' which will be released by Muse on October 2nd. They'll be joined on that day by alternative duo Matt and Kim. Later in the month will also feature the third album from The Script, appropriately titled '3.'

Taylor Swift will release her 4th studio album 'Red' on October 22nd. Meanwhile, Cher Lloyd will release her debut album, 'Sticks and Stones,' for the first time in America in 2012, while Ellie Goulding will look to build off the success of her hit 'Lights,' with the release of her second studio album, 'Halcyon.' Pop fans can also look forward to breakout star Calvin Harris's 3rd studio album '18 months,' set for release on October 29. The album features Rihanna's 'We Found Love,' and the hit 'Feel So Close.'

Kendrick Lamar will release his first major label debut on October 22, 'good kid, m.A.A.d city,' The album features Dr.Dre, Mary J. Blige, Lady Gaga, and others. Meek Mill will also release his debut studio album at the end of the month 'Dreams and Nightmares.' The album features the top hip-hop track 'Amen' featuring Drake.

It's also a big month for classic rock fans. October is set to include new releases from legends KISS, Neil Young, John Fogerty, and Van Morrison.
