New Music Releases -- December 2012

2012 has seen its fair share of incredible music releases and will see a few more before the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve. One of the most anticipated albums of December is the newest release from Ke$ha. 'Warrior' is the second studio album for the pop star, a follow-up to her highly successful 2010 album 'Animal.' 'Warrior' features elements of dance-pop, electro-pop, and electronic rock, making it one of the most unique albums of the year. The album's first single 'Die Young' has already become a number one hit, and features Nate Ruess of fun. Additionally, the album includes songwriting from the Flaming Lips and Iggy Pop provides vocals on the track 'Dirty Love.' 'Warrior' is set to be released in the United States on December 4.

Similarly, Bruno Mars is releasing his second album 'Unorthodox Jukebox' on December 11th. The album is a follow-up to 2010's 'Doo-Wops & Holligans' which sold more than 6 million copies worldwide. Many of the songs, including the album's first single 'Locked out of Heaven,' have a new-wave feel to it, which will further increase the comparisons of Bruno Mars to artists like Michael Jackson. English singer-songwriter Olly Murs will release his third album 'Right Place Right Time' on December 4th. The album features the single 'Troublemaker' which includes vocals from rapper Flo Rida.

Green Day is set to release their third studio album of the year, '¡Tré!' It's the final installment in their trilogy of 2012 albums and is supposed to be a mix of everything. Frontman Billy Joe Armstrong described the album as 'epic' and the most ambitious of the three. It is the eleventh studio album for the busy punk rockers.

December 2012 also features new releases from Lil Wayne and Wiz Khalifa. Khalifa's 'O.N.I.F.C.' is highly anticipated and includes collaborations with many artists, including 50 Cent, and Pharrell.
