In this latest song Shelton does what he does best, relying on his unique, infectious voice in this mid-tempo love ballad. The song is reminiscent of his last number one country hit 'Over' and it is likely he may hit number one again this time, which would be his eighth hit to top the country charts. The single does feature some electronic melodies and strings, but Shelton's sound stands out and is, as usual, quite likeable. The love song was written by Nicolle Clawson, Jimmy Robbins, and Chris Tompkins. Although it may not be as lyrically strong as some of his other hits, Shelton still makes the song work for him and his sincerity about falling for someone comes through in the track. Shelton sings, "Let your mind take a little back road/Just as far as you wanna go/Baby I'll do whatever you wanna do."
No plans have officially been announced, but it is likely a seventh studio album is on the way. For now, Shelton is getting ready for another season of judging 'The Voice.'
