Rumors of a new record began swirling back in 2009 when frontman Brad Arnold told Alternative Addiction that he and his bandmates were likely to collaborate on a new project in the near future. At the time, Arnold said the group was working together online, and were hoping to have the record out in 2010.
"We've all been writing and sharing files electronically, and so when we get together I think we're going to be ready to record right away, and evolve these songs into an album," Arnold said.
