3 Doors Down, 'Time of My Life' -- 2011 New Album Preview

It's been two years since 3 Doors Down released their widely acclaimed self-titled album. Now, the rock group from Mississippi is about to drop yet another new album titled 'Time of My Life.'

Rumors of a new record began swirling back in 2009 when frontman Brad Arnold told Alternative Addiction that he and his bandmates were likely to collaborate on a new project in the near future. At the time, Arnold said the group was working together online, and were hoping to have the record out in 2010.

"We've all been writing and sharing files electronically, and so when we get together I think we're going to be ready to record right away, and evolve these songs into an album," Arnold said.

Britney Spears, 'Femme Fatale' -- New Album Preview

Get ready world: Britney Spears is ready to unleash a brand new album titled 'Femme Fatale' due March 15th.

On Dec. 2 (which also happened to be her 29th birthday), Spears confirmed that she was wrapping up her new album and announced that it would hit stores within the next few months. In a tweet, she wrote: "I'm almost done with my new album and it will be coming out this March. I AM IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!"

With that single announcement, Spears sparked a new round of global speculation, as fans and commentators began openly wondering what the diva might have in store for her long-awaited seventh studio album and follow-up to 2008's 'Circus.'

This time around, Spears collaborated with Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Swedish producer Shellback, who told MTV that the singer was a pleasure to work with in the studio, contrary to what some tabloids may have claimed.

Avril Lavigne, 'Goodbye Lullaby' -- 2011 New Album Preview

Avril Lavigne hasn't released a new studio album since 2007's 'The Best Damn Thing,' however, in March, the Canadian sensation will finally return with a brand new album titled 'Goodbye Lullaby.'

The album, Lavigne's fourth, will hit stores on March 8, after a full two years of production. The artist began work on 'Goodbye Lullaby' in November 2008 at her home studio in Tarzana, Calif. Surprisingly, Lavigne originally entered the studio to lay down a song called 'Black Star' for a commercial for her own fragrance. Eventually, though, she just continued recording new tracks until she finally -- if accidentally -- put together a new album.

"It just happened," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I made a record without even feeling like I made a record." In the studio, Lavigne collaborated with producers Butch Walker and Evan Taubenfeld, and singer/songwriter Max Martin. Also contributing to the new album is Lavigne's ex-husband and Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley.

Deadmau5, '4x4=12' -- 2010 New Album Preview

Canadian electro sensation deadmau5 has had quite a year. In the matter of a few months, he's performed at the Winter Olympics, won three International Dance Awards and, on Dec. 7, he'll put a cork on 2010 with the release of a brand new album, titled '4x4=12.'

The new album comes just a few months after deadmau5 (born Joel Zimmerman) suddenly collapsed during a July show in Washington, D.C. The incident forced the artist to cancel nine tour dates but, fortunately, he's back and ready to unleash a long-awaited follow-up to 2009's 'For Lack of a Better Name.' As with his other albums, his third release carries a peculiar, if comparatively less cryptic title.

"My math sucks," the world renowned producer explained, in a recent interview with MTV News. "I was talking on Ustream, and I was trying to explain to people about my setup, and I was like, 'Yeah, it's in four banks of four, and that equals 16,' and they were like, 'Dude, that's 12'! Everyone started saying it over and over again, and it just caught on."

Flo Rida, 'Only One Flo (Part 1)' -- 2010 New Album Preview

Back in 2009, Flo Rida firmly established himself as one of hip-hop's premier Southern rappers with the release of his sophomore album, 'R.O.O.T.S.' Now, more than a year later, the acclaimed artist is preparing to drop yet another brand new album, 'Only One Flo (Part 1),' due to hit stores on Nov. 30.

The rapper formally announced his new album in March, when he casually tweeted, "My new album "The Only One" coming real soon! Stay tuned!" And, just like that, speculation began swirling about what one of hip-hop's brightest stars might have in store for fans this time around.

Public expectations are high, thanks in large part to Flo's record-setting success, but it's a safe bet that the rapper's newest album won't disappoint. This is the same artist, after all, who has sold more than 10 million digital copies of his smash hit singles, and broken weekly digital sales records that he set himself.

Daft Punk, 'TRON: Legacy' Soundtrack -- 2010 New Album Preview

On Dec. 7, Daft Punk will finally release their long-awaited new album, the official soundtrack for Disney's 'TRON: Legacy.' The release of the record will officially put an end to over a year's worth of rampant speculation, leaks and anticipation. And, by all indications, it will introduce fans to a decidedly different side of the famed French electronic duo.

News of Daft Punk's involvement on the score first broke in March 2009, when Reuters reported that the duo had signed on to score the sequel to the original 'Tron' movie, which featured a soundtrack composed by electronic music pioneer Wendy Carlos.

At the time, of course, the artistic direction of the new album remained unclear, but the union between the famed electronic duo, and the sci-fi cult classic seemed like a match made in heaven. Instead of scoring the film with their characteristically synthesized sound, however, Daft Punk decided to take a classical approach to the soundtrack -- literally.

Justin Bieber, 'My Worlds Acoustic' -- 2010 New Album Preview

In 2009, Justin Bieber unleashed his breakthrough studio album, 'My World,' which he followed up with 2010's sophomore smash 'My World 2.0.' Now, the teen idol is gearing up to release yet another new CD titled 'My Worlds Acoustic.'

The new album, slated to hit stores exclusively through Wal-Mart on Black Friday (Nov. 26), features nine acoustic renditions of songs featured on Bieber's two previous 'My World' albums. The decision to go acoustic, according to the artist, was borne out of a desire to prove his naysayers wrong, and to broaden his musical horizons.

"I really think that I did an acoustic album because there's a lot of haters out there that say, 'Justin Bieber can't sing. His voice is all Auto-Tuned,' " Bieber told MTV News. "And there's a lot with production, it kind of drowns out your voice, and it takes away from the singer, over the synths and everything ... I think kind of stripping it down and having it kind of really mellow and being able to hear my voice is why I wanted to do it."
