New Music Releases -- February 2013

Interscope

As 2013 settles in, many more albums are being released by favorites and up-and-coming artists. One of the most anticipated albums of the early year is '#willpower' by will.i.am. It'll be the fourth solo album from the famous hip-hop artist and record producer. The album already has produced four singles and includes many collaborative efforts including Jennifer Lopez, Mick Jagger, Justin Bieber, LMFAO, Britney Spears, and more.

Speaking of collaborative records, Lil Wayne is set to release his tenth studio album 'I Am Not a Human Being II.' The album is Wayne's first in two years and will feature Drake, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and Nicki Minaj, among others. Another highly anticipated hip-hop album should be coming our way from LL Cool J. 'Authentic Hip-Hop' is his 13th studio album, but his first since 2008. The album features Joe, Monica, and Kendrick Lamar.

For those who favor easier listening, Tim McGraw has released 'Two Lanes of Freedom,' his 12th studio album and his first for Big Machine Records. The album has already produced two successful singles 'Truck Yeah' and 'One of Those Nights.' Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Josh Groban will release 'All That Echoes,' his sixth studio album. The album includes covers of Glen Hansard and Stevie Wonder.

One of the artists to watch out for in 2013 is Atlas Genius who have hit it big with their alternative hit 'Trojans.' The indie rockers are set to release their debut album 'When It Was Now' on February 19th. Meanwhile, progressive rockers Coheed and Cambria will release the second part of a double album. 'The Afterman: Descension' is the band's seventh studio album and the first since part one of the double album which was released this past October.

Also, keep a look out for experimental rock supergroup Atoms for Peace. The band consists of Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, and others. The debut album 'Amok' will be released at the end of the month.
