Brad Paisley, 'Southern Comfort Zone' -- New Song

Arista Nashville

Brad Paisley has released his first single off his upcoming ninth studio album titled 'Southern Comfort Zone.' The new song features a spoken word contribution by radio personality Eddie Stubbs and harmonies by the Brentwood Baptist Church choir. Paisley wrote the song along with Chris DuBois and Kelley Lovelace, who helped write his previous hits 'Online,' 'Water' and 'Remind Me.'

The country star literally stepped out of his comfort zone for this upcoming album. Paisley and his band recorded a lot of new material on his own property outside Nashville, as opposed to the normal comfort of a recording studio. Paisley explained to The Tennessean that, "It's the kind of album that is meant to expand my art. I don't think it's the least bit un-commercial of a record. I just think it's different." The song itself may sound more upbeat than most of his work and is less traditional. The melody, especially the chorus, would envy today's best pop music. The chorus adds a different element to it, creating an epic sound that may help this single become yet another hit for Paisley. In the single, Paisley sings about the comfort of his home, but also about stepping out of it once in a while and seeing the beauty of other people and cultures. As summed up by Paisley himself, "There's some great places around the world that will expand your mind and also make you love this Southern comfort zone."

Paisley's yet to be named album is scheduled to be released in April of 2013. His last album 'This is Country Music' was the number one country album when released in 2011 and was certified gold. As fans eagerly await this next album, they can listen to "Southern Comfort Zone" in the meantime on AOL Radio's New Country First.
