Bridgit Mendler, 'Hurricane' -- New Song

Hollywood

Bridgit Mendler shows off her talented voice in 'Hurricane,' the second single off her debut album, 'Hello My Name Is...' The song is a follow-up to the successful pop hit, 'Ready or Not' and was co-written with Emanuel Kirakou, Evan Kidd Bogart, and Andrew Goldstein.

The 'Good Luck Charlie' star has taken the pop scene by storm with her new album and 'Hurricane' is another fun release from the 20-year-old. Mendler puts her rap skills to the test here and has endearing qualities that are similar to that of Cher Lloyd and Karmin. The track is laid back with some reggae influence, but is fast paced at times. The single is quite catchy and shows off the infectious and witty aspects of Mendler's skills. 'Hurricane,' which allows for many sing-along moments, uses the storm as a metaphor for her feelings towards a love interest. She sings, 'You tell me that you know me, I'll never be lonely. Say we made it through the storm now, but I'm still on the lookout."

Bridgit Mendler was recently named one of the Billboard 'Hottest Music Stars under 21.' You can listen to the young actress/singer right now on AOL Radio's New Pop First.
