Calvin Harris, 'Sweet Nothing' (Feat. Florence Welch) -- New Song

Columbia

Scottish singer-songwriter and producer Calvin Harris has released his fifth single from his recently released third album '18 Months.' 'Sweet Nothing' features Florence and the Machine's lead singer, Florence Welch. The two have collaborated in the past on the remix of her track 'Spectrum.'

The up-beat electro-disco track takes advantage of Welch's distinct and powerful voice in this catchy tune about overcoming a lover who provides 'sweet nothing.' Her dominant voice is expressed best in the chorus where she sings: "So I put my faith in something unknown/I'm living on such sweet nothing." Of course Harris steals the show with his beats, which work well behind Welch's voice, especially when building suspense towards the chorus. The music video features Welch at a nightclub, dressed as a man before unleashing a fierce performance on stage.

'18 Months' includes Harris's biggest hit, 'Feel So Close,' and his breakthrough single, 'We Found Love' featuring Rihanna. Ellie Goulding, Kelis, and Ne-Yo are also featured on the album. Listen to Calvin Harris and Florence Welch right now on on AOL Radio's New Pop First.
