Faith Hill, 'American Heart' -- New Song

Warner Bros.

Grammy-winning American country singer Faith Hill is set to release her new single off her upcoming seventh studio album, 'Illusion.' 'American Heart' is the second single off the album, dropping nearly a year after the first single, 'Come Home.' 'Illusion' will be Hill's first album since 2005's 'Fireflies.'

With all six of her studio albums receiving Platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of American (RIAA), there is a lot of hype and excitement buzzing around the notion of new music from Faith Hill. 'American Heart' speaks to the generation that's still out working paycheck to paycheck trying to live out their dreams. The chorus speaks the loudest: "And it beats like a drum down in New Orleans/Sings like a Motown melody/It dreams like California/Bigger than the Texas sky/It bleeds/It scars/But it shines when times get hard/And you can't break an American heart." Known mainly for her incredible voice, 'American Heart' definitely features a lot more production than we're used to hearing from Faith Hill. Though there's no denying that Hill has numerous fans and a devout following, we think that 'American Heart' will be yet another huge song for the already successful star.

There's still no word on an official release date for 'Illusion,' but it is rumored to be coming out sometime in 2013. 'American Heart' will be available for digital download on October 1st. Faith Hill fans can check out 'American Heart' on AOL Radio's New Country First.
