Justin Timberlake, 'Suit & Tie' (Feat. Jay-Z) -- New Song

RCA

Justin Timberlake is back to recording music. The star celebrity has released 'Suit & Tie' off his upcoming third studio album, 'The 20/20 Experience.' The song features Jay-Z and un-credited vocals from long-time collaborator, Timbaland. The song was written by all three, as well as a few others, and is Timberlake's first release since his second album, which produced six singles. Timberlake has spent the many years between then (2006) and now, focusing on acting and entrepreneurial ventures.

'Suit & Tie' is more than 5 minutes long and is a mid-tempo R&B song that is poised to double as a dance track. It's a simple track that features drum-claps, horns, and slowed-down drum beats produced by Timbaland. The single certainly doesn't pack as big of a punch as one might expect from Timberlake's return to the music scene. It's not as infectious, or as upbeat as 'SexyBack' which helped originally re-define his career. Still, Timberlake, who's voice sounds higher in this track than some of his other work, still proves he's one of the best R&B artists out there. Jay-Z builds off the song's synthesizers and adds his own clever beat as a nice change-up to the song. The single, which is simply about the excitement of looking good, is Timberlake's re-introduction and thus, it is likely there is catchier, pop tracks coming our way.

Timberlake has been working on a new album since last June and expects to release his highly anticipated album sometime this year. He has reportedly been working with Pharrell Williams and former *NSYNC member JC Chasez, among others. While we wait for the new album, fans can listen to 'Suit & Tie' right now on AOL Radio's New R&B First.
