Sticking with the same producers (Dr. Luke, Cirkut, Benny Blanco), and getting the help of Nate Ruess (lead singer of the band fun.), 'Die Young' has the traditional pop/electronic/hip-hop sound that has made Ke$ha popular since her breakout in 2009. The chorus and the beat provide the "catch" to draw in the listener and create the craving for more. "I hear your heart beat to the beat of the drums/Oh what a shame that you came here with someone/So while you're here in my arms/Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die young." The hip-hop influence in Ke$ha's songs shines through as well, proving that she has that well-rounded sound. "Young hunks, taking shots/Stripping down to dirty socks/Music up, gettin' hot/Kiss me, give me all you've got/It's pretty obvious that you've got a crush (you know)/That magic in your pants, it's making me blush (for sure)." With her past six singles (as the lead artist) being certified Platinum by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), there has been a lot of buzz surrounding 'Die Young,' and it seems to have delivered. After selling just under 200,000 copies of the single in it's first week, Ke$ha is back full force and it doesn't look like she's slowing down.
'Die Young' is available now for digital download. 'Warrior' is set for release digitally and in stores on November 30th. Ke$ha fans can hear 'Die Young' on AOL Radio's Fresh 40.
