The hopeful ballad expounds on the anticipation of a goodnight kiss between a new couple. The moment between them is intense, but they want to take things slow.
"Just a kiss on your lips in the moonlight / Just a touch of the fire burning so bright / No, I don't want to mess this thing up / I don't want to push too far / Just a shot in the dark that you just might / Be the one I've been waiting for my whole life / So, baby, I'm alright with just a kiss goodnight."
Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott continue to sing about the promise of their burgeoning love with the same sweeping melodies as fans have grown to adore in songs like their Grammy-winning hit, 'Need You Now.'
In February, Kelley told Billboard that the band was "about halfway done" with their third studio album. "We feel really great about what we've done so far," he added. Lady Antebellum will perform their new single live on 'American Idol' on Thursday, May 5.
