The electronic filled and powerful album opener includes Chester Bennington singing about promises that have been broken. Bennington said the lyrics were personal, rather than political. Shinoda trades vocals with Bennington, and strongly raps the longer verses of the song, including the bridge, where he raps: "You can tell 'em all now, I don't back up, I don't back down, I don't fold up, and I don't bow." The song is sure to impress Linkin Park fans, and is a great way to open up an album that features Linkin Park building on the success of the first 4 albums, with stronger sounds and more experimentation.
The song has already infiltrated the top 10 UK rock charts. 'Living Things' debuted at #1 last month in America, and in many countries around the world. A music video was completed earlier this month in Detroit, Michigan and features model Melaine Boraia. Listen to 'Lost In The Echo' right now on AOL Radio's New Rock First.
