Melanie Amaro, 'Long Distance' -- New Song

Universal Republic

Melanie Amaro is getting set to release her debut studio album 'Truly' and has just released the third single alongside it. 'Long Distance' was produced by many industry veterans, including Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, Bonnie McKee, Mike Green, Anne Preven and D'Mile.

Amaro is well known for winning the first season of 'The X Factor.' This catchy, upbeat pop track may be the best of her three singles released so far, although her first single 'Don't Fall Me Now' was a top ten dance hit in America. The song has a catchy beat and strings to backup Amaro's powerful voice. In this single, Amaro shows why she won the reality show and overshadows the music with her emotional tale of a long-distance relationship. Amaro sings 'Wherever you are now, I hope I'm what you're dreaming of/Counting down the seconds till you're in my arms boy."

'Truly' is scheduled to be released early in 2013 and is expected to include a song featuring R&B artist Ciara. For now, Amaro is doing what she does best--performing. She performed 'Long Distance' on 'The X Factor' last week. Take a listen to her new single right here on AOL Radio's New Pop First.
