Rihanna, ‘Man Down’ — New Song

Rihanna has released ‘Man Down’ a new song from the R&B singer’s latest album, ‘Loud.

The 23-year-old goes back to her roots in the storytelling reggae tune. She sings of losing her cool with a man, who she ultimately shoots in front of a crowd. “What started out as a simple altercation / Turned into a real sticky situation,” she explains.

Regretfully, Rihanna talks about not being able to sleep over what she’s done. But, while she “didn’t mean to hurt him,” she doesn’t want to end up behind bars, so she plans her escape from the town.

“Oh mama, mama, mama / I just shot a man down / In central station / In front of a big o’ crowd / Oh why, oh why / Oh mama, mama, mama / I just shot a man down / In central station.”

The 3-year-old returns to her roots in a reggae story tune. She sings about losing herself with the man she ends up shooting in front of the crowd. “What started as a simple quarrel/Turned into a real sticky situation,” she explains.
