In typical Toby Keith fashion, 'I Like Girls That Drink Beer' starts off with the attitude of, "I'm Toby Keith. I do what I want and you have to live with that." The first few lines of the song are a strong indication of that attitude. "Bye bye, baby I'm leavin'/You can keep your mansion and your money/Your boat and your Benz and your uptown friends/And your country club that ain't really country." It seems that Keith has found the formula for what country fans want to hear. With the success of 'Red Solo Cup' and 'Beers Ago' from his 2011 album, 'Clancy's Tavern', and the new release of 'I Like Girls That Drink Beer', it would be safe to assume that Toby Keith fans are fillin' up on some suds. His recent songs about beer, mixed with that attitude that has made him famous, has given fans some instant classics. With his new single being the follow-up to 'Beers Ago' and 'Red Solo Cup' (which to-date is one of the most successful songs from Keith), 'I Like Girls That Drink Beer' has some very large shoes to fill. However, given the recipe for success from 'Red Solo Cup' and 'Beers Ago', I think that Toby Keith has another hit on his hands.
There's still no news on the name or release date of Toby Keith's upcoming 17th studio album. 'I Like Girls That Drink Beer' is available for digital download now. Fans can hear the song on AOL Radio's New Country First.
