Hey Monday's Cassadee Pope Reveals her Top 10 Favorite Albums

Cassadee Pope, lead singer of Hey Monday, joins us as guest blogger to give us a glimpse at what her favorite albums are. Don't forget to check out Hey Monday on tour this year, they could be coming to your area!

I've racked my brain for this list because there were so many albums I was obsessed with growing up. Here are the top ten albums I chose.

10) Boston: 'Boston'

'More than a Feeling' has to be my all time favorite song. This band got me listening to rock music in the first place. Looking back on it, it was more pop than rock. But at the time, it was more rockin' than anything I was listening to.

9) Bon Jovi: 'Slippery When Wet'

Bon Jovi is timeless. I'll never get enough of this record. It reminds me of my mom so much. I've also never known a band that has had so many other bands cover their music.

8) Fall Out Boy:'Take this to Your Grave'

I'm not sure why this is so far down. I've always been such a huge fan of FOB. Hearing this album for the first time was such a memorable moment. Patrick blew my mind. The lyrics have always been so honest and relatable for kids everywhere.

7) New Found Glory: 'Sticks and Stones'

This was one of the first bands I had ever listened to besides Blink. Of course, also a huge influence on bands everywhere. I remember trying to mimic Jordan's voice. It's so unique and distinctive.

6) Cartel: 'Ransom EP'

I've always loved how guitar driven this EP is. The music is just as catchy as the melodies Will sings. This is still my favorite album Cartel has ever released.

5) Say Anything: '...Is a Real Boy'

This is also one of my favorite bands. I don't feel or relate to any lyrics as much as I do with Max's. He's a lyrical genius and means every single word he writes. I've cried, laughed, cringed and had every other emotion listening to this record.

4) The Matches: 'Decomposer'

I think Sean has so much character in his voice. This album was played nonstop on my iPod for the longest time. I still go back every now and then and blare it.

3) Backstreet Boys: 'Black and Blue'

Yes... I was a huge BSB fan. This was the first CD I had ever purchased. Of course, I had a crush on Nick Carter at that time. But it was always more about how catchy the songs were. Those melodies always amazed me.

2) The Starting Line: 'Based on a True Story'

I love every single song off this album. Kenny's voice is so infectious that it makes you not want to stop listening. 'Surprise, Surprise' is one of my all-time favorite songs.

1) Blink-182: 'Enema of the State'

The reason I wanted to be in a band in the first place was because of Blink-182. This album reminds me of rocking out in my room and being embarrassed when my mom or sister would walk in. They're my favorite band of all time.
