On their new song, 'Give a Little More,' the boys from Maroon 5 take their fans on a bouncy, dancetastic trip through one of the group's favorite phenomena: Irresistible women.
Produced by 'Mutt' Lange, 'Give a Little More' opens with a uniquely delightful guitar riff that seems to be straight out of Prince's playbook, before diving into the kind of ebullient, pop-driven rhythm that has made Maroon 5 famous. Carefree as the musical backdrop may sound, the lyrics actually touch upon a subject somewhat more frustrating: How to ask more of a woman who so clearly has you wrapped around her finger.
"You were wrong for turning me on and on and on," frontman Adam Levine sings. "I'm waiting for something, always waiting / Feeling nothing, wondering if it'll ever change." Ultimately, he resigns himself to the fact that, "I have no defense / I know you're gonna get me in the end."
'Give a Little More' is the second single off of Maroon 5's new album, 'Hands All Over,' which is set to be released on Sept. 21. The first single off of the new album, 'Misery,' was released in June. To listen to 'Give a Little More,' tune in to the New Pop First station on AOL Radio.
