Subaru Outback 'Honeymoon' Commercial -- What's the Song?
The echoing piano and gently strummed acoustic guitars of the song are the perfect accompaniment for the back-road romantic misadventures the newly-married couple endure on the road.
You see, a giant bull and a sudden rainstorm try to ruin their plans, but their newfound love helps them conquer these obstacles with big smiles on their faces.
If that's already too lovey-dovey for you, well, then you're not gonna like the lyrics much either: "Kingdoms and queens they all bow down to you / Branches and ranch hands are bowin' too / And I've taken off my straw hat for you / Singing here comes the sun again."
Ward has been busy with a variety of musical projects lately. His most recent solo album, 'Hold Time,' came out in 2009, but he also appeared as a member of folk-rock supergroup Monsters of Folk on their 2009 album, and has released two records with actress Zooey Deschanel under the She & Him banner.

3. I agree,he does sound rather like Tim Hardin. I think AT&T has also used one of Ward's songs in an ad. It's great exposure for him.
How about the latest singer/songwriter, Ray le Montaine, on an ad. for Travellers Insurance. Yummy! I hope this trend continues.

1. Is it just me or are the words to the song which accompanies the honeymoon ad completely unintelligible? Until I read the lyrics here, I couldn't have guessed one single word of the song. It seems that the lyrics to more and more tunes these days are completely impossible to understand.
