Kenny Chesney, 'You and Tequila' Feat. Grace Potter -- New Song

BNA

Kenny Chesney has teamed up with Grace Potter on his latest single, 'You and Tequila,' from the country star's fourteenth album 'Hemingway's Whiskey.'

'You and Tequila,' combines Chesney's smooth, country voice with the rock-influenced vocals of Potter. Chesney wrote the simple, honest song about a complicated relationship, explaining, "When it comes to you / Oh, the damage I could do / It's always your favorite sins / That do you in."

There is a quietness about 'You and Tequila' with a great emphasis on the vocals over an unobtrusive acoustic guitar. Potter lends soulful harmonies in the refrain, singing, "You and Tequila make me crazy / Run like poison in my blood / One more night could kill me, baby / One is one too many, one more is never enough."

The Strokes, 'Taken for a Fool' -- New Song

RCA Records

The Strokes have released 'Taken for a Fool,' the latest single from the rockers' fourth album, 'Angles.'

In 'Taken for a Fool,' the Strokes experiment with Albert Hammond Jr.'s guitar riffs that recall their sophomore album, 'Room on Fire.' The band incorporates computer-generated music while sticking to their rock influences.

An overall upbeat track, 'Taken for a Fool' is the song most reminiscent of the old Strokes sound on 'Angles.' The chorus is light and uncomplicated: "You get taken all the time for a fool / I don't know why / You're so gullible but I don't mind / That's not the problem / And I don't need anyone with me right now / Monday, Tuesday is my weekend."
