After gaining recognition doing covers of popular songs on his YouTube account, Connor Maynard was contacted by Ne-Yo (after he saw a performance of his song 'Beautiful Monster'). Though many critics compare the rising young star to Justin Bieber, 'Vegas Girl' has more of the R&B with Pop influence like Justin Timberlake. The video for 'Vegas Girl' was released last week, and shows Maynard and fans using Twitter to search for the "Vegas Girl" that he bumps into. Aside from the very well-produced video, the song in itself has an amazing beat to it and the lyrics are catchy. "This is for the girls that get down low / The whole club wanna see you go/ Ey, shake, shake like you're famous, girl/ Head back, lay it down like a Vegas girl." After winning MTV's Brand New For 2012 award back in November and his debut album coming out at the end of the month, it's only a matter of time before Connor Maynard is blowing up the Billboard charts all across the world.
'Vegas Girl' will be available on July 22nd. 'Contrast' hits stores and digital outlets on July 30th. Fans can hear 'Vegas Girl' now on AOL Radio's New Pop First.
